We were heartbroken over the loss of the custom home but had to move quickly in the current market to find something else. Laura was extremely dedicated, knowledgeable and positive throughout what was to be one of the most challenging seasons for our family. She encouraged us to have faith that we would find a home that excited us, while also helping us to have realistic expectations. Mark Quick27 December 2021Finding a reputable realtor in an area where you have no network can be tough. Fortunately, an old friend had a recommendation the proved to be outstanding. Laura had a true understanding of the local real estate scene and how best to get the property we wanted. She made herself available for the schedule of a working person, primarily nights and weekends. She scheduled dozens of properties to tour that best suited our needs and budget. In this extremely competitive market, we were able to obtain the property we wanted and after inspection, negotiate a full price for a new roof! Laura’s network of inspectors and contractors made completing contract required work deadlines easy. Laura is truly committed to her clients and her pleasant demeanor made this buying experience easy and left us feeling like we had a bulldog in our corner when it came to hardline negotiations. She always made herself available, even including a couple times where we messed up and forgot about the time zone difference. She had great insights into the neighborhoods, helpful perspective on how quickly a home was likely to sell or why it might have been on the market for a long time, and she helped us find a home that worked great for our particular set of goals and constraints. She was great with our young children (2yo, 4yo) and helped us work through some challenging circumstances when our future home’s AC unit broke days before closing. She brought a very positive vibe and had a can-do attitude, making things happen. For example, she found someone local with a low-to the-ground sports car to see whether a steep driveway was likely to cause problems for my car since it was two time zones away and I couldn’t test it in person. This is a very overdue review for Laura who helped me purchase a home in February, but she was so incredible I have been reminding myself for months I needed to go write a positive review! Laura is the best realtor I have ever had! I was purchasing my 3rd home in Austin while living in Santa Fe, NM and she found my "unicorn" house since I definitely gave her some odd requests for my dream home. Laura was my trusty eyes on the ground, was present for all my inspections, took pictures for me and video-chat walked me through the house, gave me her candid honest opinions and really saved the day in trying to buy a house site unseen. For a few weeks we were chatting several times a day, occasionally at odd hours, and we swapped selfie wine toast pictures to celebrate when we were on track for the closing! Laura is a truly amazing person, honest and trustworthy, with a fantastic sense of humor to get you through a stressful process. It was a pleasure to finally meet her in person! Even months after the closing and I have moved in, Laura continues to be a supportive and invaluable resource referring me to a reliable plumber and electrician where I needed them for a fix or upgrade.
